CHECK OUT WHY PEOPLE LOVE  THE SHOOT OUT SERIES

Grady Cherry

I love archery with my friends; it’s a fun sport to be involved in. I like to see how we all improve.

Kelly Potter

Simple- The people running the program for the right reasons!

Braxton Cherry

I want to be better than I was yesterday! When shoot it’s me against me! No distractions, nothing to think about, just me, my bow and a target!

Liam Byrd

I shoot archery because it’s fun to shoot. I like the challenge and seeing myself improve and getting better scores. Plus, my teammates are great to talk to. Team Tuckasee is very hands-on and works with me to get better every week, and I enjoy the Gauntlet. I invite friends all the time because it’s so fun and is a new experience.

Kaylee & Leah Wilson

The reason we Shoot Out is simple… It's challenging (physically and mentally) and it’s FUN! We have had the opportunity to meet others who share the same love for the sport, while gaining so many friends along the way. We encourage anyone who is thinking about shooting to go for it! We have met some incredible people and grown so much along the way. We are blessed to be a part of such an awesome experience. ❤️

Nate Bingham

I like to shoot TSO because it is fun! My favorite part is socializing with all my archery friends and shooting in the Gauntlet.

Lilly Coyle

My favorite part about the Shoot Out Series has to be all of the friends and family I have made along the way. Everyone is so nice and is always willing to help when you need it. Other than that, I also love the program; it is so different from anything I have ever done, and it is such a relaxing and fun environment. It's competitive and at the same time exciting.

Delana Puryear

My favorite part of Shoot Out is that it’s a way to make new friends, and it’s a different experience.

Eli Newton

I enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the shoot-out series. I also enjoy the music being played during the tournaments.

Emily Phillips

I Shoot Out because of the environment and the people. I love being able to connect with people from around the state that I don't get to see often, and it makes me so happy to be able to shoot and connect with new and old friends. It's also great practice for indoor competition and a great place to get started in the world of competition!

John Shelby Stephens

I do the Shoot Out Series for the people. The people involved at TSO make it the absolute best! The people I know from TSO are not only great archers but great friends, and that’s more important! From the Trad guys (how cool was it that I got to be part of the inaugural Trad class) to the Barebow people, to the compound shooters, everyone is having fun and being a good friend to everyone else!

Jon Starks

I Shoot Out for the experience. I enjoy the series format and battling it out for the buckle at the Gauntlet. It was awesome to be part of the first season for the traditional class!

Austin Ledbetter

They are making shooting fun. It pushes me to do better and to see my full potential. My favorite part is shooting with my teammates. Anyone who likes archery should join.

Lily Bowling

I think people should get involved because it can serve as practice to identify areas that need improvement. My favorite part of it is that I get to make friends and find new people to connect with

Keegan Benton

Why do I shoot? Wow? Why don’t I shoot? I shoot mainly because the Shoot Out Series and The Gauntlet are unlike any other series or competition. I travel a long distance to compete because the qualifying tournaments are fun and relaxed. I can laugh, smile, and meet new people in a low-stress environment. That all changes when it is time for The Gauntlet. I have been on a few big stages, and I never shook like I did under the lights of The Gauntlet stage. It ran smoothly and was an environment that can only be called “electric.” In all of archery, few things rival the experience, and nothing comes close to the belt buckle.

Matt Clinard

I love the competitive aspect of TSO, but the best thing about it is being able to include my family. Archery is a huge part of our lives, and being able to compete in a fun and kid-friendly environment will keep us coming back. The community is also a huge bonus. It’s rare to find competitors that will also root for you, even though they were knocked out in earlier rounds.

Joseph Reid Rich

I shoot because I love to shoot my bow. When I shoot a new personal best, it makes me want to do even better the next time. We have fun at all the competitions, & I get to shoot with my family & friends.

Allie Woodham

I like The Shoot Out because it’s fun.

Audrey Bush

I shoot out because I get to meet new people and hang out with the people I already know. I also like how it’s competitive, but I can still have fun, and it’s a great experience to have.

Chris Willard

I shot The Shoot Out for the experience. If you want to see how your mental management game is, this is a great one. I loved the format of shoot downs making each shot critical in shooting for the buckle. The event was well run, and I plan on doing it again next year.

Noah Ledbetter

While we are all competing to win, everyone still supports and cheers everyone on. My favorite part is the community of archers. Everyone who likes archery should join because it’s fun!

Mark Bowling

I get to go with my family to different archery regionals and shoot with them. My daughters compete in mainly youth or collegiate events, and I just sit and watch them. The Shootout Series makes it a great family experience!

Compton Family

We shoot because we love that archery is a family affair!! While Dad and the three oldest kids (14yo, 9yo, and 6yo) are shooting...the little upcoming archer (3yo) and I are on the sidelines rooting them on! We’re not split up, trying to attend 2-3 extracurricular activities, in 2-3 different locations, multiple times a week. We all practice and compete together!!
Archery also offers a positive atmosphere like no other we’ve ever experienced with youth sports! Nothing but encouraging comments and friendly competition at every shoot!!

Abigail Clinard

TSO is so much fun because I like shooting with other people and trying to win first place!

Paisley McKiddy

I love THE SHOOT OUT SERIES because it brings a different approach to the most self-reliant sport I know. It’s laid back, but still serious enough to get the competitive juices flowing. Others should get involved because of the friendships and connections THE SHOOT OUT SERIES creates. My favorite part is the awesome awards that are given. Those belt buckles are awesome!

Ozzie & Blakely Kibbons

We love our bows. We love the feel of the bow string in our hands before shooting the target. We love the sound of the arrow hitting the target. We love the competition, with myself and with others. Archery is so much fun! Others should want to join us because we've made new friends and we've learned how to focus better. This year was our first year competing in TSOS and our first year at The Gauntlet, and we can't wait to go back! Being on the platform and under the lights was so exciting!

IMPORTANT BOWSCORE UPDATE

Beginning in the 2025-2026 season, each competitor will be required to have a membership number for Bowscore registration. This will enable the software to assign unique identifiers to each shooter, allowing it to track national ranking scores throughout the year.

This number will be obtained by visiting the non-profit Zeffy site and registering. The one-time fee is only $5. Please ensure that you print out your membership card with the number from your confirmation email and use it for registrations.

If you shoot two divisions, you MUST register one number for each discipline - and please ensure you use the correct one for the different classes.
